Services

Support with the parts of the day that have become more challenging.

Non-medical home care across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, arranged around the routines someone already has.

What we offer

Six kinds of support, arranged together

Most families start with one and add another later. They are listed separately below so you can see what each involves, not because they have to be chosen one at a time.

Personal care

Help with washing, dressing and grooming, given with privacy and patience. Our caregivers work at the pace that suits the person, on the days and at the times that already fit their routine. How someone likes things done matters here as much as the task itself.

  • Bathing and showering support
  • Dressing and grooming
  • Toileting support
  • Help moving safely around the home
  • Morning and evening routines

Companionship

A familiar face and steady company through the day. Conversation over tea, a walk around the neighbourhood, a shared hobby, or simply someone else in the house so the hours are not spent alone. Families often underestimate this one, and clients often value it most.

  • Conversation and shared company
  • Walks and outings
  • Hobbies, games and reading together
  • Accompaniment to appointments and errands
  • Help staying in touch with family

Light housekeeping

Keeping the home tidy, comfortable and safe to move around in. This is light, regular upkeep rather than a deep clean — enough that the space stays pleasant to live in, and clear of the clutter that makes a fall more likely.

  • Tidying and light cleaning
  • Laundry and changing bed linen
  • Washing up and kitchen tidying
  • Keeping walkways clear
  • Taking out the garbage and recycling

Meal preparation

Home-cooked meals prepared around personal tastes and dietary preferences. Shopping for what is needed, cooking it fresh, and sitting down together when that is welcome. Familiar food, prepared the way someone likes it.

  • Planning meals around personal preferences
  • Grocery shopping and putting it away
  • Preparing fresh meals and snacks
  • Following dietary preferences
  • Company at mealtimes

Medication reminders

Gentle, timely prompts so nothing is forgotten as part of the daily routine. Our caregivers keep an eye on the time and let the family know if a reminder is missed. This is non-medical care: the reminder is the service, and anything beyond a prompt falls outside what we offer.

  • Reminders at the agreed times
  • Keeping to the daily reminder routine
  • Prompts fitted around meals and rest
  • Letting the family know if a reminder is missed

Senior and individual support

Flexible support shaped around each person’s routines, preferences and independence. Some families want a few hours a week; others want someone there every day. We start by asking what a good day looks like, and build the schedule around that answer.

  • Support built around existing routines
  • Flexible hours, from occasional to daily
  • Help with everyday tasks around the home
  • Regular check-ins with the family
